More Information

If you have a Criminal Record

Don’t let a criminal record prevent a hunt in Canada. Minor criminal charges committed years ago can prohibit entry into Canada. An individual with a DUI may even be refused. Permits are available but may take several months to process. Contact Canada Border Crossing Services at 1-800-438-7020 to obtain a permit.

Arrival:

Whether you are flying or driving clients arrive in Saskatoon on the Saturday before hunt starts.
Hunter is required to obtain a room for the night at one of the following hotels:
Saskatoon Inn (1-800-667-8789)
Courtyard Marriot Hotel (1-306-986-4993)
Heritage Inn (1-855-213-0582)
A representative from Elusive will pick hunters up in the lobby of hotel on the Sunday morning at approximately 8:30 am.
From Saskatoon we head north for approximately 3.5 hours to camp. During travel to camp a stop will be made at a grocery/liquor store to get any last minute items (snacks, alcohol, bottled water, etc) needed for the week. Camp is very remote so we want to ensure everyone has everything they will need.
Once settled at camp we will sign licenses, sight in rifles/bows, relax, get ready for the next day hunt, and take it all in!

Departure:

We depart camp at 1:00 pm Saturday afternoon for a return trip to Saskatoon. Flights home should not be booked any earlier then 9:00 pm Saturday evening. If only flying home on the Sunday after hunt then hunter is responsible to book hotel room for Saturday evening at one of the hotels listed under arrival. Reminder book your room early. Rooms fill up fast. Your guide will have your trophy boxed up and ready for transport.

A few things Hunters need to do after booking with us and prior to hunt are:

Client must print the Non-Resident Firearm Declaration form. You need to fill it out but DO NOT sign it until you’re in front of a customs agent.

• You need to obtain a HAL ID number. If you’ve already hunted in Saskatchewan you will already have this number. If not, please click on link. To obtain your HAL click here.
• Email your HAL ID to us so we can obtain your hunting license.
• Book your hotel rooms in Saskatoon for day before hunt and day after hunt. Need to book early. Rooms fill up quickly during hunting season.

• Review our Hunter Supply List as it will help you pack for your hunt.

At Elusive Saskatchewan Whitetail Outfitting we want to see you succeed. We do everything in our power to ensure you have a rewarding hunting experience.
We offer 5 ½ day Whitetail hunts. Hunts start Monday morning and end Saturday at noon.
Our hunting area is located on the south side of the provincial forest. It is along the southwest side of Green Lake, Saskatchewan. Which is approximately 30 miles south east of Meadow Lake and approximately 40 miles north of Leoville, Saskatchewan. Our area is roughly 80,000 acres. This hunting area has some of the best deer habitat and whitetail deer genetics that the Saskatchewan Provincial forest has to offer.
You can expect to have a lot of fun! Nothing better than the great outdoors.
In the forest, the most productive means of hunting is in a tree stand. We have a feed site (bait) at every stand. Tree stands are baited daily. Baiting starts 6-12 weeks prior to hunters arriving. The stand has a 2′ x 3′ platform with a formed fiberglass swivel seat. We also have some heated ground blinds for cold weather hunting. We are able to adapt our hunt for those hunters who are elderly or those that are physically challenged. Most of our clients sit in the stand all day. Access to the stands is done mainly by ATV/side by side, by truck, or by truck side by side/ATV combination. We suggest that you bring the rifle you are comfortable using. Most of the shots taken are within 50 yards. If you have a choice of rifle, 30.06, 7mm. or 300 are great choices, because of their knock down power.
Your guide will skin and freeze your trophy in preparation to take home. Local taxidermy is also available.

Effective in 2024 we are implementing a minimum gross of 140 inches. This is to ensure our clients continue to have access to Trophy whitetails for years to come. A $1000 fine will be charged to clients who take a buck that does not gross 140 inches.
