Your agenda for your dream hunting journey with our skilled whitetail outfitters.
Saturday: Arrive in Saskatoon
For your convenience, we kindly ask our hunters to book a room for the night at one of these recommended hotels:
- Saskatoon Inn (1-800-667-8789)
- Courtyard Marriot Hotel (1-306-986-4993)
- Heritage Inn (1-855-213-0582)
Sunday morning, 10:00 am: Pickup at hotel lobby
Sunday morning, an Elusive representative will pick you and the other hunters up at your hotel in Saskatoon. From there, we'll head north together to camp. The journey takes about three and a half hours.
Given that we hunt in a very remote location, the group will also make a stop along the way at a grocery and liquor store. We want you to have everything you need to enjoy yourself, so now's the time to acquire any last-minute items for the week, like snacks, bottled water, or alcohol.
Sunday night: Get settled into camp
Once we've arrived and settled into camp, we'll take some time to sign licenses, sight in rifles and bows, and get ready for the next day's hunt. But it's not all about dealing with logistics! We'll also have plenty of time to take in the beautiful surroundings and relax before the adventure ahead. Our goal is to make you feel feel right at home from the moment you arrive.
Monday – Saturday: Get that trophy buck!
A typical hunting day with Elusive involves
- Rising early in the morning, around 5:30-6:00 a.m.
- Enjoying coffee and breakfast
- Gearing up with warm clothing to protect yourself from the elements
- Packing up your supplied lunch and heading out for the day with your guide, who will bring you to your stand.
- Most importantly, encountering many of Saskatchewan's incredible whitetail deer – and hopefully, coming back to camp with a trophy!
Every evening, you'll be picked up around 30 minutes after sunset. We bring you back to camp for a hearty home-cooked meal and an evening of great company.
Saturday, 1:00 pm: Depart camp
Although we'll be sad to see you go, now's the time to go home! We'll return you to Saskatoon and say our goodbyes from there. If you are flying home, only book your flights after 9:00 p.m. on Saturday evening, and ideally on Sunday. That way, you can get to the airport without rush or stress.

Set Your Expectations for a Rewarding Experience
First and foremost, when you embark on whitetail deer hunting in Saskatchewan, Canada, you can expect to have a lot of fun. There’s nothing better than the great outdoors, especially in our province’s beautiful dense forests abundant with wildlife.
We want to see you succeed! So, when you choose us for your guided whitetail hunts, we do everything in our power to make that happen. Here’s a little bit more about what you can expect when you join us:
We offer whitetail hunts that last five and a half days, starting on Monday mornings and ending on Saturdays at noon.
Our hunts span approximately 80,000 acres of prime deer habitat within the Saskatchewan Provincial Forest. This area boasts some of the best whitetail deer genetics in the region. Situated on the southern edge of the forest, along the southwest side of Green Lake, our location is roughly 30 miles southeast of Meadow Lake and about 40 miles north of Leoville, Saskatchewan.
As experienced Saskatchewan whitetail outfitters, we've found that using bait stations yields the best results in the forest. We place feed sites (bait) at every station daily, starting six to eight weeks before our hunters arrive, to draw deer to the area and increase your chances of success. We offer both tree stands and ground blinds to suit your preference. Our tree stands feature high-quality formed fiberglass swivel seats on 2′ x 3′ platforms, while our heated ground blinds provide excellent shelter during cold weather hunting. Many of our clients, particularly those seeking more comfort, prefer our ground blind option – a choice that's becoming increasingly popular.
We are fully equipped to accommodate hunters with mobility limitations so that everyone enjoys a comfortable and accessible experience. Our clients can choose between tree stands or ground blinds based on their comfort and needs. To facilitate access, we offer transportation via ATV, side-by-side, truck, or a combination of these vehicles, providing flexible options tailored to individual requirements.
For the best experience, we suggest that you bring the rifle you are comfortable using! Our hunters take most of their shots within 50 yards, so if you have a choice of rifle, 30.06, 7mm., or 300 are great choices because of their knockdown power.
Your guide will skin and freeze your trophy in preparation to take it home. You also have the option of local taxidermy services.
At Elusive Saskatchewan Whitetail Outfitting, we have a 140-inch minimum. Bucks taken below 140 inches will result in a $1000 penalty. Cull Deer that are determined by management are exempt from the penalty. Our minimum is in place to ensure clients like yourself have quality trophy bucks to hunt for years to come.
